There's No CRYING in Target

So. ..my darling darling man friend (hubby to those who like the phrase) made me tear up in Target.  He found a card for my little cousin who is about to embark on a big journey: boot camp.  This little guy should be on stage Broadway style but for the few who get to..they now have a few years of winning Tony Awards left until he is back in the spotlight.  Anyhoo...Nick found this card that just shocked me. I mean he likes to pick out goofy cards, ones you laugh at and bring to your friends and say that he is such a comic. eye roll.  He found this patriotic card for Andrew that explained all these feelings of love and homesick.  It meant so much.
Now if you excuse me..I am tearing up...

Power Tools Are Your Friends

but stay away from lighters!  People, let me tell you the story of our "busy" sunday..starts off calm as usual, then this stupid fly comes and has to ruin calm coffee time. He gets out one of those lighters that are really long for like a bbq or something and as the fly is ON THE WINDOW with the custom wooden shades mind you..he wants to light it up and get rid of it..be still my heart..I thought we would have no house. Well..no fly either.  Little while later he bought he an electric hedge clipper. My new friend. Is that sad or what??

Does THIS look my yard??

So, I had the brilliant idea of freshening up our front yard. Get away some of the mountains of weeds, spruce it up a bit. It is hot as hell and all I want it my house to look like this picture. I have to stop posting pictures of Hawaii because let's face it, you will never be able to stick a bird of paradise plant along the walk way. on long island. in march. So for now, I am in the air conditioning with dirt still under my nails and the husband laughing at me for trying to be tough in this heat with my fake D & G glasses on. Oh and for the record...I lasted a whole 15 mintues!

I didn't run away from the altar

Not even kidding you, I secretly had a fear that I would have one of those runaway bride moments. There I went, running down the aisle at the church that my parent's had gotten married in (divorce bells are ringing)..running towards something else. Question is..what? As I stood off to the side with my uncle waiting to walk down the aisle I was more mad that the music was not was I remembered than scared. I actually asked the limo driver who would tell me when to walk "did I pick this song?" The poor bastard looked at me and said "you did now honey". My uncle then took my arm as I smiled for the cameras and told my little cousin, Rachel, not to cry as I walked towards Nick, my now husband. I gotta say, giggling like a school girl was way better than crying. At least for me. I don't mean to offend anyone if I sound harsh about crying. Oh yeah, I also remember thinking that my bra was way too freaking tight.
